The team at WCD were very excited to welcome Member of Parliament Georgie Purcell to the clinic in June. Georgie is the Animal Justice Party (AJP) Member of the Legislative Council ( Senate) for Northern Victoria and is very supportive of our work. AJP acknowledges that providing affordable and accessible desexing is the best solution to reduce the number of unwanted cats and therefore reduce the killing of healthy and rehomable cats and kittens. Georgie enjoyed a cuddle with Ella, one of the many kittens we safely desex at 10 weeks old which prevents pregnancies starting at just 16 weeks old!
